Bianca Kizy joined Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan in September 2019 as a comprehensive ophthalmologist. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where she graduated with distinction, and completed her residency in ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Dr. Kizy’s interest in ophthalmology is driven by the importance of sight in a person’s quality of life and being able to impact that by improving one’s vision. As an eye care specialist, she is also provided the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships which she believes is an important factor in providing quality patient care.

Dr. Kizy is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has participated in numerous ophthalmology clinical research projects and presented on eye related disease topics to her peers. In addition, Dr. Kizy has a passion for humanitarian outreach and has volunteered with numerous organizations providing free eye screenings, medical care to the homeless and uninsured, participating as a youth mentor and collecting and distributing food and clothing at homeless shelters.

As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Kizy also has special interests in cataract surgery, diabetic eye exams and glaucoma. Outside of caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her husband, daughter and nieces and nephews. She is a sports fan, specifically basketball, and loves to read, watch movies and listen to music.

Dr. Kizy sees patients at OSM in Dearborn and Southfield and performs surgery at the Livonia Outpatient Surgery Center.
