Dr. Kleinfeldt is an accomplished surgeon who provides high quality results. According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Dr. Kleinfeldt has performed the highest number of cataract surgical procedures in Southeastern Michigan. As a results-driven specialist in his field, Dr. Kleinfeldt also continually demonstrates superior surgical outcomes. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s IRIS Registry, he exceeds both the CMS and IRIS registry averages in regard the visual acuity of his patients within 90 days of cataract surgery.

As an advocate for education, Dr. Kleinfeldt speaks locally and nationally about advances in the treatment of eye disease. In addition, Dr. Kleinfeldt is a medical advisor to many global organizations, such as Alcon, Ista Pharmaceuticals, Allergan, and Endo Optiks.

Dr. Kleinfeldt also embraces a strong belief in community advocacy. He regularly provides free medical eye examinations and screenings to promote public health and wellness to disadvantaged individuals.

Dr. Kleinfeldt holds specialized certifications in C-LASIK Hansatome; RestorTM Intraocular Lens Endocyclophotocoagulation; VISX; ReZoom; and Advanced Cardiac Life support.

Dr. Kleinfeldt earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School, and his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute, affiliated with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Afterward, Dr. Kleinfeldt then furthered his sub-specialty training with a cataract and glaucoma fellowship under the auspices of Ronald Coburn, M.D., F.A.C.S.
