Glaucoma & Cataract Surgery
Lauren Lim, M.D. is a board-eligible ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of glaucoma. Her extensive experience in the medical and surgical management of patients with glaucoma as well as a variety of other ocular diseases includes minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, cataract surgery and the use of advanced technology lenses, dry eye disease, diabetic eye exams and comprehensive ophthalmology.
Dr. Lim is passionate about the opportunity to improve and restore one’s vision. She believes that every patient is unique and implements a personalized approach for each individual to ensure the best outcomes possible.
Dr. Lim is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine in Louisiana, where she also completed her residency training in ophthalmology and went on to complete a fellowship specializing in the treatment and management of glaucoma.
Dr. Lim was elected into her medical schools Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has contributed to numerous clinical research projects with the goal of advancing and improving care for patients. In addition, Dr. Lim is passionate about humanitarian outreach volunteering in her community to provide eye care to the underserved and joining a health care mission trip to Cordoba, Mexico.
Outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Lim is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys Barre, Yoga and Zumba. She also has a talent for playing the piano and making Chinese food with her parents.
Dr. Lim practices at the Dearborn and Livonia locations and performs surgery at the Livonia Outpatient Surgery Center.
